    Founded in the 19th century by Hermine de Voss, a wealthy merchant’s daughter, the premises was originally a destination for ill children to recuperate in the 1920s. In the 1940s, Stenum became known as a specialized rehabilitation center for Tuberculosis patients, with a special "sunshine sanatorium". Eventually, in 1971, the hospital became a specialized clinic for orthopedics. As holder of the KTQ Certification, Fachklinik für Orthopädie Stenum is committed to quality and the highest standards of care.

    Today, more than a thousand international patients have placed their trust in the hands of our skilled surgeons.

    Special Clinic for Orthopedics is an orthopedic hospital serving the local german community as well as international patients. The Hospital has 51 beds and 120 staff.

    Stenum’s operating rooms have recently been re-furbished and are among the most advanced in the region. Directly after surgery, our intermediate care program ensures that you are monitored closely for the first night after your surgery.
